Nai Yang Beach

South of the international airport, within the national park area is Nai Yang Beach . Popular because of its protected shoreline, and the shade provided by tall casuarinas' - it attracts local families who like picnicking, especially on weekends. Beware, throngs of cars and trucks line up the beach road during long-weekends and festive occasions when people come here for a retreat.

Nai Yang is also known as the site where sea turtles come to lay their eggs. Its rare that you can still see this in today's environment as the beach is too developed. Much, if any activity has moved further north along the coast to Mai Khao and Phang Nga.

If you plan to stay in the area, there is some good accommodation to choose from toward the southern end of the beach away from the airport such as the newly renovated (Indigo) Pearl Resort, The Aramas Resort and the newly completed - the Hyatt Nai Yang Hotel.

Because of its parkland, the big shady trees, and considering its close to golf courses and the airport, Nai Yang is fast becoming an area rich with real estate potential. One of the latest additions is the development know as Dewa, offering modern (Scandinavian) styled holiday apartments packaged with an investment program.
